Welcome to the inaugural episode of Startup BizCast, a podcast with small business advice from small business owners! Normally this podcast will feature interviews with small business owners and experts, but this episode is a bit different. I introduce the podcast and what it’s about, and give my own tips for small business owners. A specialist in public relations, Internet PR, and social media, I discuss why business owners should start their own corporate blogs.

In our next episode, we’re going to talk with Jay Cowan, co-founder of RiverCross Partners. RiverCross works with owners of small and medium-sized businesses to help them develop exit strategies. Essentially, they help business owners plan for the time when they can’t or don’t want to work. Jay says you should start creating an exit strategy as soon as you launch a new business.
