Henrico Business Leaders Provides Forum for Communication
HBL Goal Is To Facilitate Direct Interaction Between Businesses, Residents, and Government
(Henrico County, VA) – A new organization is launching in Henrico County, with a goal of creating opportunities for face-to-face conversations between business owners, residents, and government leaders. The Henrico Business Leaders Inaugural Event will take place on January 11th at 7:15am at the Richmond Marriott West. Henrico County Manager Virgil Hazelett will give a “State of the County” update and speak about future plans for the area.
This will be the public launch of the organization, whose primary focus is to provide opportunities for discussions between all segments of the Henrico County Community. The vision of Henrico Business Leaders (HBL) is to maintain a healthy business environment and a high quality of life for county residents.
Henrico Business Leaders has extended an invitation to all Henrico businesses and residents interested in participating in this unifying vision. The group will hold monthly breakfast meetings with guest speakers on the second Monday of each month at the Richmond Marriott West in Innsbrook. Additionally, the group will host informal social events to allow networking among members of the Henrico Business Leaders Group.
HBL founder Joe Winston recruited progressive business leaders to help him establish the new group. “The future of our families, businesses, and local government is of utmost importance to our founding members and membership. We are focused on supporting the quality of life in our community,” said Mr. Winston.
Henrico Business Leaders is unique in its inclusion of the entire business and residential community. The opportunity to effect real change and improvement will be supported by the direct involvement of civil leaders and government representatives. This includes all levels of county government such as school administration, fire and police departments, economic development, as well as appointed and elected officials.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome the Henrico Business Leaders and congratulate them on their mission to strengthen and promote Henrico’s business community. We all enjoy a quality of life in this great county that is second to none, and that is in large part due to the quality businesses that call Henrico home. I look forward to working with this new organization and the value they will most certainly add to Henrico’s business culture,” said Virgil R. Hazelett, Henrico County Manager
